Father-Son Adventure
Magnificent Mountain Peaks. Remote Wild Landscapes. Rewarding Backpacking. World-Class Canoeing.
Adventure is a path inward, a doorway to connection within the shared experience, and a source of growth as we learn to see the world (and those we are with) in a new light.
As we lean into healthy challenge, it bonds us together in ways that are rare in this world.
It is for this very reason that adventure and deep wilderness is a natural choice to craft a Rite-Of-Passage for Fathers and Sons to share together, planting seeds and tending to this sacred connection.
The North Cascades National Park is a rugged wilderness playground in a land known as “the alps of the United States, which runs along the Canadian border in Washington state. Massive mountains, deep lakes, hanging glaciers, crisp natural streams, and extraordinary mountain lakes provide an incredible backdrop for the father-son adventure.
During this 6-day 5-night adventure of connection, we will hike and canoe through this landscape. The first chapter starts with backpacking, together gaining wilderness skills, laying the framework for self-sufficiency and connection in the wild. In the second chapter, we are delivered canoes and a restock of food as we trade our hiking boots for paddles and the trail for the water. We will swim in the shadow of mountains and glaciers, paddle up gorgeous creeks, and float near waterfalls as we work together to propel our way south, camping along the way.
Luke Entrup and Tom Shelstad team-up together to support the deepening of connection through laughter and play, challenge and heart.
No previous camping or backpacking experience is necessary. will teach the skills you need to know to thrive out there. All food is included, as well as canoe rental. Other gear is available for rental upon request.
